Dr. Jonny Myat Htut
Board Certified Orthodontist
Dr. Jonny Myat Htut is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He attended the University of California, Riverside, for his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience. During his time there, he co-authored multiple research publications in the Brain Research Journal. He then went to the University of Southern California (USC), School of Dentistry, where he excelled in studies and was honored with numerous awards, including the prestigious Montgomery Excellence in Clinical Dentistry award.
While at USC, Dr. Htut excelled in clinical dentistry and remained actively involved in research, especially in the area of craniofacial development and molecular biology. After becoming a dentist, Dr. Htut started his orthodontic residency at Roseman University of Health Sciences (formerly known as University of Southern Nevada) where he also completed his post graduate degree in Master of Business Administration. During his residency, Dr. Htut won multiple awards and scholarships and was the principal investigator for his research in craniofacial morphology and airway. He was also featured in the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO) bulletin.
About his role as an orthodontist in community Dr. Htut says, “I feel very privileged to serve my patients and my community. It is very fulfilling to be able to make a great impact on people’s lives by creating beautiful smiles. I believe that a smile is a gateway to potential success in life and I feel very fortunate to be able to provide that for my patients.”
Despite his busy schedule as a practicing and highly sought after orthodontist, Dr. Htut remains a family-oriented person. He has a wonderful wife and two amazing sons with whom he loves to spend his time. Dr. Htut also likes to make music and films as hobbies. He also spends his time reading books, particularly of the non-fiction and personal development genres. Some of his favorite books include thought-provoking works like “As a Man Thinketh” by James Allen, “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl, “Principles” by Ray Dalio, and “Mindset: The New Psychology of Success” by Carol Dweck.
He feels very privileged to serve the community of La Verne and Diamond Bar. He looks forward to providing the best care for his patients.
